American Cancer Society

Overview

One of the most effective ways to fight cancer is to detect it early. But convincing people to get a colonoscopy at the newly recommended age of 45 can be…awkward. So the American Cancer Society asked us to help them shine some light where the sun don’t shine.

Saving lives starts by talking about rear ends.

Approach

Since most 45-year-olds aren’t exactly keen on thinking about their colon health, we decided to put power in the hands of their loved ones. We created a website with a series of humourous, online invitations to break down the stigma associated with discussing colon cancer screenings.

Rollout

Coinciding with Colon Cancer Awareness month, the campaign unfolded across the website, email, and social, following a detailed customer journey that made the process easy to do, share and understand, whether on a 20-inch monitor or a 3-inch phone.

To promote Nashville Zoo’s annual Boo at the Zoo event, we leaned into the playful spirit of Halloween—with a wild twist. Our concept featured the zoo’s own animal residents as the stars, donning Halloween masks in a series of striking portraits shot against deep black backgrounds. The unexpected visuals were both eerie and endearing, creating a campaign that stood out across digital, print, and outdoor. By turning the animals into costumed characters themselves, we captured imaginations, sparked smiles, and brought a fresh sense of fun to one of Nashville’s favorite family events.

Putting a Wild Face on Halloween

The Boo at the Zoo campaign brought big results. Attendance jumped by 27% compared to the previous year, making it the most successful run in the event’s history. On several nights, the zoo even had to stop admitting guests due to reaching full capacity—a clear sign that the playful, mask-wearing animals struck a chord with families across Nashville. The campaign didn’t just draw crowds—it helped solidify Boo at the Zoo as a must-attend Halloween tradition in the city.

Wake Forest Baptist Health

We set out to create a cancer campaign that offered more than information—it offered strength and confidence. Centered around the powerful line, "I have cancer. But cancer doesn’t have me," the campaign was designed to give patients a sense of control in the face of a life-altering diagnosis. As home to the only NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center in western North Carolina, Wake Forest Baptist delivers nationally recognized care with compassion, innovation, and hope. Our campaign highlighted not just advanced treatments and cutting-edge research, but also the human side of healing—from support programs to personalized therapies—reminding patients that they are never alone in their fight.

I have cancer. But cancer doesn’t have me.

The campaign increased awareness of Wake Forest Baptist Health as a leading destination for cancer care, driving more patients to consider it as their first choice. Website traffic saw a measurable boost, and most importantly, cancer-related appointment requests rose by 16% during and after the campaign period.

Kaiya

Kaiya is located in the panhandle of Florida next to Alys Beach on one of the last remaining parcels of land on Scenic 30-A. We created a unique name and “pinnacle” brand for this 26-acre boutique, luxury resort. Additional work included a website, collateral, sales center design, street name and signage, followed by a content marketing campaign to build awareness and affinity for future homeowners.

Partnering with Nashville Soccer Club, we wanted to highlight fans that truly bring their energy to every game and partnered with none other than “Soccer Moses” to show that MAPCO is where true fans go to “Fuel Your Passion.”

Tiffin

Manufactured in Red Bay, Alabama and the heart of SEC country, Tiffin Motorhomes are a staple at rowdy college tailgates across the southeast and the country. We partnered with college mascots to play off these storied rivalries and enshrine Tiffin as a home for fanatics whether they’re screaming “Roll Tide” or “War Eagle!”

Casey Jones Distillery

Casey Jones Distillery initially approached us to redesign packaging for their Casey Jones Moonshine. However, since research revealed that most consumers had neutral to negative associations with moonshine, we knew it would take more than new packaging to change the way consumers think of the product.

SOLUTION

To position Casey Jones Moonshine as a premium heritage product that’s for everyday use, we had to make it about more than water, corn and sugar. We had to tell the rich story of Casey Jones, the original king of the Prohibition-era Kentucky stillmakers, and his grandson, Master Distiller Arlon “A.J.” Jones. We did this with new identity and packaging, a new website featuring craft cocktail recipes, new print and collateral, new distillery signage and a strategic presentation to their distributor.

Within a short period of time, Casey Jones Moonshine saw a significant spike in sales as well as a major increase in the number of visitors to their distillery.

HighFive Healthcare is the expert at helping partnering endodontists and oral surgeons grow their practices. But when they experienced quick success themselves, they looked to our expertise to help them keep growing exponentially.

Taming the monster in the tooth business.

Much of HighFive’s success is due to their unrivaled culture of family, fun, and personal relationships. Unfortunately, that wasn’t coming across in their marketing. So we revamped every aspect of their brand to reflect who they truly are.

Trade Show

Meeting potential new partners face-to-face at trade shows is a critical component of HighFive’s success. But first, you have to get people’s attention. So we created a campaign built around a giant monster. A monster made up of all the time-consuming business tasks that HighFive takes off doctor’s plates so they can care for their patients and their family.

We wanted attention. We got it. The HighFive booth was a flurry of activity all weekend long, with interested doctors stopping in their tracks to check out our monster and meet our team. With our first trade show a resounding success, our monster is ready to hit the road and travel the trade show circuit across the country.

Good People Brewing

Situation

Good People Brewing had the good fortune of perfecting their craft beer just as the craft beer boom happened. However, in focusing on creating a great product, they had left the marketing and packaging design to a series of freelancers. The result was that each beer looked like a separate brand.

From good to great.

With new craft beer brands being born every minute, packaging is the single most important tactic in making sure your brand stands out on the shelf. We knew they needed a distinct identity that reflected the care and knowledge that goes into Good People beer.

Solution

We designed a cohesive packaging system for their entire line of beers as well as a new website, a social strategy and video content.

Good People has expanded their brewery twice in four years in order to keep up with increased demand. Sales of all beers have increased and they’ve expanded distribution six times in the past two years.

Alabama Launchpad is dedicated to helping the brightest young entrepreneurs get their business ideas off the ground. But without an established brand for the state’s largest startup pitch competition, potential competitors weren’t aware of the opportunity, and many who were, found the application process too daunting to even try.

Launching dreams and a new brand in 3…2…1…

Insight

Winning one of Alabama Launchpad’s three annual pitch competitions is about more than prize money. Through mentorship, networking, and yes, capital, participants receive the foundational building blocks to become successes in business and life. So we took those building blocks and built a brand out of them.

Grand Debut

You can’t win if you don’t enter. And unfortunately, entering Launchpad’s competitions was a bear. Especially for those in traditionally under-represented groups. So we streamlined the website, laid out the application process in easy-to-follow steps, and highlighted past winners and current mentors to make everything as friendly and non-intimidating as possible.

By creating a flexible system that radiates youthful energy and optimism, we built a brand that’s poised to rocket Alabama’s best and brightest to uncharted success. Applications from women and minorities are already up, from 30% of total applications the previous year to an encouraging 44% and 56% following our rebrand.

Alabama Farm Credit

Alabama Farm Credit was one of Alabama’s principal lenders for agricultural and rural land. But they had an identity and logo largely unchanged from 1963, that was not only dated but visually identical to competing land banks in the state and across the country. AFC needed greater separation from their competitors and to convey the unique advantages to farmers that regular banks simply couldn’t offer.

Transforming a brand and growing Alabama’s future.

Background

Working with AFC is unique because they are farmers themselves. As such, they bring a unique level of guidance and advice to customers that’s only possible when your lender truly understands farming and its economic cycles. Plus, each borrower becomes a stockholder in the organization, receiving an annual check based on the company’s performance. Potential customers didn’t fully understand the depth of partnership that was available to them at AFC.

Powerful campaign elements were created to bring emotion and clarity to the Alabama Farm Credit story, launching the tagline Together We Grow – a positioning based on mutual prosperity. We evoked images and memories of the way farmers have always helped one another through time – the very essence of what AFC still does today. An all-new brand identity transformed AFC’s staid traditional image into a thoroughly modern financial brand.

We took the lead on designing an all-new website to better communicate AFC’s strengths and brand identity. Distinctive new signage featuring our logo now appears across the state. As elements of the brand continue to roll out, Alabama Farm Credit is now far better positioned to grow its organization – and the business of the farmers who rely upon it.

UVA Health

Facing a rapidly changing healthcare landscape, the University of Virginia Health System decided to expand its service area. Because this involved forming alliances with hospitals that once were competitors, UVA Health needed to raise its overall image to pave the way for this aggressive growth. UVA Health also wanted to communicate the power of the newly expanded system to consumers.

Turning competitors into partners.

UVA Health, through these new alliances, was about to change the conventional thinking about healthcare. Rather than waiting for something to go wrong, UVA Health took proactive role: anticipating their patients’ needs and serving their populations more efficiently than ever before. To establish this new approach to care, we developed the rallying cry “Tomorrow can’t wait.”

We created an omnichannel campaign using traditional media to run teaser messages paid off by online content. The campaign kicked off internally with a dedicated long-form video as well as environmental graphics.

The results of the campaign have been stunning. UVA Health’s preference as their population’s “hospital provider of choice” garnered double digit increases. At 18 months into the campaign, UVA Health’s preference numbers are the highest they have ever been.

Founded in 1991 and located in downtown Birmingham, Auburn University's Center for Architecture and Urban Studies—Urban Studio—is a teaching and outreach program of Auburn's College of Architecture, Design, and Construction. Urban Studio came to Lewis for help repositioning itself to students, design professionals, and the general public in order to tell its untold story. Urban Studio uniquely combines the academic and professional worlds of architecture and offers value and resources to architects, nonprofits, and other organizations. We think their work is pretty amazing and believe the new brand reflects just that.

As the city’s only freestanding children’s hospital—and a nationally recognized academic medical center—every inch of it is built around the unique needs of kids. From a Level 1 Pediatric ER to specialists trained to treat everything from everyday accidents to the rarest pediatric conditions, it’s a place designed entirely for children and their families. Our campaign, Your Child’s Very Own Hospital, set out to reinforce that truth—positioning Monroe Carell as not just a hospital that treats kids, but a hospital made for them.

The Your Child’s Very Own Hospital campaign delivered measurable impact. It increased brand awareness across the region, strengthened trust among parents, and clearly differentiated Monroe Carell as the only hospital in Nashville built entirely around the needs of children. The campaign helped drive an increase in pediatric ER visits and specialty care appointments, while also improving perception metrics tied to expertise, compassion, and overall preference.

Our client, a longtime Class A manufacturer, wanted to grow their business by entering the Class B market. Class B, a smaller, more nimble form of RV, often built on a Mercedes Sprinter van chassis, was being purchased by younger audiences for shorter adventures.

The Challenge

Lewis has deep roots in the RV industry, with 20 years of building successful sales growth. But now we were asked to take on a completely new kind of challenge: generate excitement for an all-new vehicle that didn’t yet exist. The vehicle itself was still under development.

The Buyer

Class B buyers tend to add more sporting accessories to their vehicles, and have an increased interest in boondocking (camping in remote areas like federal land, as opposed to a traditional RV park with electric and water/sewer connections). They want rugged reliability, some measure of off-road capacity, and a greater sense of adventure.
