Creating a new brand. For kids.
Stony Brook Children'sSituation
Longtime client Stony Brook Medical Center provided outstanding specialty pediatric care, but consumer awareness of these services was almost nonexistent.
Approach
We recommended branding Stony Brook Children’s separately from the adult hospital. We developed the logo and identity system, built an entirely new website and created a campaign to raise awareness of Stony Brook Children’s.
Solution
We realized that the best way to tell Stony Brook Children’s story to consumers was through a universal truth about kids: They ask lots of questions. And the people who are best at treating children are the people who embrace the questions.
Result
Post-campaign tracking studies found significant gains in awareness and preference:
68%
Increase in awareness of Stony Brook Children’s Hospital from 2013 to 2015 (from 16.3% to 27.4%)
7.1%
Increase in preference for Stony Brook Children’s overall
5.3%
Statistically significant increase in preference for Stony Brook Children’s among women ages 25-54
