A solar - powered community powered by storytelling.
When we were approached to tell the story of a yet - to - be - developed 18,000 acre master - planned community in Ft. Myers, Florida, the owners already had a name and a logo. What they needed was a partner to curate their vision and tell their story.
Right away we saw the power in that story: Babcock Ranch would be the first 100 percent solar - powered community in the country, with a vast 440 acres of solar panels powering the town.
At Lewis, we believe every great story stands on the shoulders of research. Babcock Ranch is no different. We met with stakeholders, land planners and future residents, ultimately crafting an integrated brand story that would unfold over several years. Yet at the time, all of Babcock Ranch was simply dirt, and a vision.
We found similarly styled communities—both architecturally and topographically—to capture lifestyle imagery. We then curated copy that would showcase what was to come for Babcock Ranch.
Simultaneously, Lewis was cultivating the brands and stories for what would become the hub of the community—Founder’s Square. Some of the retail brands that are a part of Founder’s Square include Square Scoops Ice Cream, Slater’s Goods and Provisions, Curry Creek Outfitters, and the town’s waste management division, Ecologic Waste Management.
Lewis Communications has proven to be a great strategic partner over the last 15+ years. Regardless of the scale and scope of an assignment, they listen and their talented development and creative teams always deliver over and above what has been expected. I think what I have valued most in the past is their balanced understanding of the client’s financial expectations and need for a measurable return on investment.”
