Senior Strategist / Any Lewis Office
Overview
As a Senior Strategist at Lewis, your role will focus on producing strategic insights to help lead the final output of brand and business strategy. You will be considered the champion of understanding integrated marketing activities and key audience insights that affect the marketing and messaging approach. Passion and curiosity are required, as well as inspiring the team by providing clarity and completion to connected brand experiences. A successful candidate will be a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of business processes, creative strategy, a passion for innovation, and an understanding of the critical role marketing/advertising plays in sustainable growth.
- Reports to: Vice President of Strategy and Research
- Supervises: Strategists, Strategy Coordinators, Strategy Specialists
Qualifications
- Education: A Bachelor's Degree is required, preferably in Advertising, Public Relations, or Marketing
- Experience: 7-10+ years of relevant work experience, advertising/marketing agency experience preferred
- Understanding of business and brand principles
- Proven track record in developing and executing branding strategies, including successful campaigns that align with business objectives and target audience insights
- Strong research skills: Experience in interpreting qualitative and quantitative research methods, market analysis, and audience segmentation
- Creative and analytical thinking: Ability to translate data and insights into effective brand messaging and creative strategies
- Excellent communication and presentation skills: Capable of conveying complex strategies to internal teams, clients, and senior leadership
- Leadership and collaboration: Ability to work with cross-functional teams, including creatives, account services, media planners, and clients, to guide brand strategy development

Responsibilities

- Strategic Planning: Collaborate with senior leadership to develop, refine, and execute a client's strategic plans. Identify growth opportunities, analyze market trends, and provide valuable insights to shape the organization's future.
- Audience and Market Research: Conduct thorough research to develop a deep understanding of the target audience(s), including analyzing demographics, psychographics, socio-economic factors, and market data to identify target audiences and their needs.
- Messaging and Brand Identity: Develop and refine brand messaging and communication strategies that align with the client's values and objectives. This includes a solid foundational understanding of tone, voice, and messaging across all platforms.
- Strategic Campaign Development: Create and oversee the foundational planning of integrated marketing strategies. This includes working closely with all departments to identify campaign messaging/creative strategy, channel distribution, and campaign goals.
- Creative Strategy: Brief and guide creative teams, providing them with clear objectives, audience insights, and the strategic framework needed for campaign development.
- Performance Tracking and Optimization: Analyze campaign performance, utilizing data-driven insights to optimize future efforts. Ensure that campaigns meet key performance indicators and business objectives.
- Innovation and New Initiatives: Propose and champion innovative ideas and new business initiatives. Drive cross-functional teams to execute these initiatives and track their success.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, partners, and industry associations, to support business development and collaboration.
